Inside the Enigma cipher machine

Other’s work

We are not the first ones to try to capture the Enigma machine using 3D technology. In the course of our research we’ve come across other interesting samples.

The first one comes from a modelling assignment in a class by Noah Lockwood from Toronto and You can actually download a Maya source file there.

Jim Oram from enigma-replica.com used AutoCAD and even printed some parts with a 3D printer:

Here are some PDFs from work done in Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten with a particularly interesting one. Those guys also provide many technical drawings particularly useful in case of assembling a physical instance.

Last but not least, and actually – the best job by user MonkMonk at blenderartists.org.

We’ve assembled a big album of pictures and posted them in our facebook.
